At the beginning of the season, our good friend Lory sustained a head injury whilst playing for Lewes. On Sunday, we held a charity day to raise money for her trust fund. It was an truly brilliant day; Lewes Ladies played Ashford at midday, whilst a million other things were going on!
There was a great turnout despot the erratic weather. We had cake stalls, welly wanging, hook the duck, a bouncy castle. an amazing raffle and tombola, tug of war and touch games just to name a few. We were also very lucky to have a visit from two of the England women’s players, Claire Purdy and Catherine Spencer.
So whilst this was all going on I tried to take a few pictures here and there!
As a total, everyone raised more than £1300! Amazing. A massive thanks to everyone that organised, took part and came along.
Pictures of the Ladies game against Aylesford that day here.
Cake cake so much cake!
